Human Reproduction
Like other organisms, humans multiply sexually and at a certain time to form sex cells (gametes). Sex cells formed a man called sperm cells (spermatozoa). An adult male produces more than one hundred million sperm cells every day. The sex cells are formed by a woman called egg cell (ovum). The process of formation of spermatozoa is called spermatogenesis, whereas the formation of an ovum is called oogenesis. Both started the process of human reproduction.
A woman can produce eggs (ova) after puberty (early teens) to adulthood, which is around the age of 12 to 50 years. After 50 years of age about a woman no longer productive marked by absence of periods. The period is called menopause.
After the eggs mature in the ovary, uterus lining thickened and contains many blood vessels. Conception preceded by the events of ovulation, the release of a mature egg from the ovary. If the sperm meets the ovum fertilization will occur. Fertilization occurs in the oviduct. Egg which will form the fertilized zygote. Zygote formed immediately enveloped by a membrane, and then headed into the uterus. Zygote in the uterus instilled in the uterine wall itself has thickened.
